Decorative concrete overlays are a cementitious resurfacing product. They are applied in two applications and are resistant to salts, water-borne chlorides, and scalling from freeze-thaw conditions. Concrete overlays are used in interior and exterior resurfacing of concrete, concrete block and masonry. Concrete overlays can be stamped with texture, stained for color, and sealed for weather and stain resistance.
The concrete overlay systems combine the strength of cement with the durability and bonding power of polymers and acrylics. Colors, like stains and dyes, can be added to enhance the beauty of these durable products. Engraving equipment can be used to score decorative patterns into your existing concrete surfaces. A penetrating cure and seal is applied to provide superb durability, weather and UV resistance and ensure a long product life.
Stamped Concrete Patio
For the patio and steps, we used a cementious overlay—highlighted sandpiper beige for the tile, with a white grout line. We then applied stamp material to a 5 foot in diameter circle. Once the stamp material set up, we stamped it with the Compass Rose stamp and stained it with water-based stain.

Patterned Pool Deck
We decorated this Arvada CO pool deck with a concrete overlay. Rather than using a template, the flagstone pattern was taped to give the pool deck a more natural appearance. Miracote MPC, slop trowel and the color Grizzly were used on this project.
Pool Deck Overlay
Miracote products were used to stamp and overlay the pool deck at this beautiful setting. First the pool coping and the outer edge of the deck were stamped and custom colored. An existing overlay was lightly ground, ML Primer applied to ensure adhesion, and then MPC, colored with Copper Kettle LIP was troweled to achieve the texture.
Concrete Pool Deck Coping
The magnificent travertine tile used for this indoor pool needed an artistic and one-of-a-kind coping. Repair mortar and Mirastamp were used to fill and shape the area. Troweled MPC achieved the texture and custom staining completed the decorative work.
Commercial Pool Deck
The Trails Recreation Center is a beautiful facility in Arapahoe County, with magnificent swimming pools. Following the application of ML Primer, two coats of MPC, colored with Copper Kettle, and black and white highlights, were applied. Two coats of Mirapoxy provide the final sealer.
Commercial Pool Deck with Overlay
The pool deck area at the Village at Legacy Ridge needed some repair and concrete replacement prior to beginning the resurfacing work. New concrete was pour in a number of small areas and then cracks were stitched and filled. Once ground, two-coats of Miracote MPC were applied, followed by two coats of sealer. A beautiful area made even more attractive and safe for the residents and their guests.
Pool Deck Repair
Once this beautiful pool deck at the Monte Vista Apartments in Littleton was repaired, a Miracote MPC spray overlay, colored with Sandpiper Beige was applied. A durable and beautiful new surface to enjoy this summer and for summers to come.
The border of the driveway, sidewalk and entry to this beautiful home in Arvada were stamped with Miracote Mirastamp and an Old Granite stamp. The base of the driveway has a grey grout line, taped flagstone pattern and a texture troweled overlay.
Concrete Patio Overlay
From the muffins and coffee during our early morning bid to the margaritas and chips on the finished patio a week later, Liz and Linda were great to work with. The almond colored first coat became the grout lines and the sandpiper beige with black, white and brown highlights became the tile. A beautiful complement to the green and white house.
Concrete Patio Overlay
The first coat of the front and back patio of this beautiful home in Broomfield was a troweled dark gray color—this is the grout line color. The second coat was a slop trowel of the light gray and then we custom stained each of the individual tiles to give them this multi-colored tile floor.
The homeowners wanted to resurface the eating area on the upper level of this beautiful home in Centennial. A stamped border was put around the outside of the deck and then the first coat of modified cement was troweled, the second coat sprayed and knocked down to give the beautiful texture. The ashlar pattern was saw cut and the project was sealed with concrete sealer and slip resistance material.
After the repair work was completed, the goal was to pull the colors from the rock wall into the slop trowel overlay. The stippled border adds an attractive accent to the patio.
Concrete Patio Overlay
The Universal Template was applied between the pillars to provide a unique look to the patio of this beautiful home in Littleton. The center areas are sprayed and highlighted to complement the texture and color of the house.
The lower patio is a concrete slab with a taped ashlar pattern overlay. The upper deck is a MiraflexII decking system over plywood, with the same overlay. Check out our Blog for more information on this project.
Concrete Overlay Entryway
This porch is an example of an overlay spray with highlights. The white color was troweled down first. The tile pattern taped. The border sprayed and then the base sprayed. Black and white is then lightly sprayed to give the highlights. The taped is pulled up to expose the ‘grout’ line and the project is sealed. A beautiful, clean look.
Commercial Pool Deck Overlay
The Miramont Lifestyle Fitness Center in Fort Collins is a beautiful facility. We had the pleasure of applying an overlay to pool deck, bathrooms, walkways and office. The Miracote MPC spray was aggressively applied to provide the floor with additional slip resistance. The color is Fired Brick with black and white highlights.
Decorative Concrete Entryway
The entryway of this beautiful home in Morrison, CO was completed with an integrally colored Miracote MPC overlay. The grout line is colored Dodge City Tan, the top coat Provincial Tan and the diamonds, highlights and border are Toffee.
Waterproof Concrete Decking
3,000 SF of decking was completed with the Miraflex II decking system. Upper level living spaces were enhanced with the benefit of waterproofing lower levels and beauty of a textured modified concrete floor. The projects were conducted in early Spring so they needed to be tented to keep rain and snow off the surface and existing outdoor kitchens and fireplaces dictated specific color schemes.
Waterproof Decking System
We had the pleasure of working with the Vail Racquet Club to apply the Miraflex II decking system to an upper deck. Metal lathe, repair mortar, membrane A, MPC and sealer were all used to make this waterproofed, durable and attractive finish.
Concrete Wall with Overlay
An absolutely beautiful basement . . . and the blinds needed to be pulled to hide the gray concrete window well. So using an Ashlar Stone template and a variety of colors, we troweled and custom-colored the window well to give it this rock look. Geri keeps the blinds open now!
Decorative Concrete Wall
Miracote MPC was troweled on the cinderblock sitting wall and concrete flower box. Custom colors were applied and the wall was sealed with a solvent-based sealer.
Commercial Concrete Walkway
The walkways of this LaQuinta Inn were in need of repair and a fresh, clean look. We used hand grinders to remove the loose overlay, filled the areas with repair mortar, sprayed the walkways with a polymer modified cement and then stained the surface with H&C pigmented sealer. The walkways were repaired and returned to their original color.
Commercial Pool Deck
The Marks pool deck in Englewood Colorado was given a face lift using Miracote MPC. The base coat was sprayed in Dodge City Tan and the topcoat sprayed and knocked-down with MPC colored with Sandpiper Beige. Solvent-based sealer was applied to finish the project.
