Patterned Concrete Residential Floor in Denver, Colorado

This living space in central Denver had a wood base. So, to get the look that the homeowner was interested in, we had to build a ‘concrete’ substrate. Metal lath was stapled down and Repair Mortar filled the voids. Once cured, the first coat of MPC was troweled. The second coat was trowel and the pattern cut. Coffee colored Dye and Seal was spray on, the accent colors were applied and the first coat of seal put down. Once the sealer had set up, the grout lines were filled, cleaned up and the second coat of sealer applied. Kelly is very pleased with her one-of-a-kind floor—quite a transformation from plywood.
