The employee lunchroom at the Owens Corning facility in Denver was in need of a little facelift. Once the floor was prepped, a two-coat overlay of Miracote MPC was troweled down. Brickform Walnut Acid Stain was used to achieve the color. The company logo was applied with a two-part template, using Colormaker Red Dye. A durable epoxy and urethane coating was used to finish the project.

Chuy is applying a coat of epoxy. You can see how the sealer brings the color to life.

To enhance the logo, we saw-cut a border around it and filled it with grout. Dice is cleaning up the edges.

The completed project!

This living space in central Denver had a wood base. So, to get the look that the homeowner was interested in, we had to build a ‘concrete’ substrate. Metal lath was stapled down and Repair Mortar filled the voids. Once cured, the first coat of MPC was troweled. The second coat was trowel and the pattern cut. Coffee colored Dye and Seal was spray on, the accent colors were applied and the first coat of seal put down. Once the sealer had set up, the grout lines were filled, cleaned up and the second coat of sealer applied. Kelly is very pleased with her one-of-a-kind floor—quite a transformation from plywood.

The concrete floors of this beautiful church in Colorado Springs, CO were stained with Brickform Coffee and Amber Acid Stain. The floor was sealed with Key Resin water-based primer and urethane and then finished with four coats of floor wax. The result–a beautiful, one-of-a-kind, and durable decorative concrete floor. It was a pleasure to be part of this project and we truly enjoyed working with Wayne, Bob and others at Great West Construction.
